I looked for a while and finally decided on this bed because it was all metal, including the slats that support a mattress. It arrived in one long narrow heavy box. I have no assembly skills but my 70 year old dad and I put it together in about an hour and a half. No extra tools needed, everything comes in the box. I recommend just hand tightening bolts until everything is put together. I don t know if a piece was mis-labeled, or we just didn t follow the instructions correctly, but we had to re-do the head board section of the bed. It is quiet. I rolled and jumped around on it and it didn t squeak at all. I love the modern clean look to it.
