Nice kids bed. Tent not very impressive.Overall impressions were good. I like the weathered grey finish on this bed. Pieces seemed to be made well, and everything went together easily. One headboard piece was damaged in shipping but is being rectified by the manufacturer. They advertise the tent part, which I was pretty excited about for my 4 year old, as being a 94 add-on if you buy it from their website, so I was expecting a little more than a cheap piece of fabric that comes in 5 pieces. The top of it attaches to the bed with stick-on vector pieces, but I can t for the life of me get them to stick for more than 24 hours, even when tent is not in use , so I ll have to get some command strips or glue on some snaps. Went with an 8 mattress, as recommended. I think you could easily get by with a 10 that would be more comfortable and still have enough side rail to prevent falling out of bed, though I probably wouldn t if your kid was much younger than 4 or 5. Bottom line Good kids bed. Don t pay extra for the tent. If you want to make a tent or reading nook under the bed, you could do much better yourself for less money.
