This bed has worked out nicely. I wanted something with high sides so my child would not fall over the edge. It is a plain no-frills design, which allows for custom decoration. The only thing I do not like about this bed is the ladder that it comes with. The ladder steps are designed in an awkward fashion. They are more rounded than flat and uncomfortable when climbing. I opted to replace the ladder with storage stairs from a different bunk set and they fit perfectly. Overall I am pleased.
